Evan Diamond was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. At the age of 18, Evan moved to San Diego, California to pursue a career in music. This move marked the beginning of six successful years impacting the San Diego live music scene.
With a powerful, soulful voice and a three-octave range, Evan Diamond is a two-headed titan of live music. Averaging 20+ live solo shows a month, as well as regular plugged-in gigs with The Library, her backing band, Evan Diamond has solidified herself as a staple of the San Diego music scene. The band’s new five-song EP “Intersections” is an eclectic rock treat Indie Spoon calls "a music experience you won’t be able to pull yourself away from " (April 2018). Their engaging style draws heavily from pop, indie rock, and R&B influences.
Evan's music has proudly been featured on 91X, San Diego’s top Indie radio station, TV’s KUSI News, the Indie Spoonful blog, she recently opened for Broadway star, Megan Hilty at the San Diego Symphony’s Bayside Summer Nights Concert Series and had the honor to be named Best Singer-Songwriter at the 2019 San Diego Music Awards. Evan and her band have also been showcased at San Diego’s House of Blues, Hard Rock Hotel, the Viper Room and the Hotel Café.
Just like her music, her songwriting influences span a wide spectrum of genres and artists from Ed Sheeran, The 1975, and Paramore to The Beatles, Carole King and David Bowie which has created her own unique sound that she describes as indie pop/rock with hints of r&b and slight country melodies.
With her debut EP, Intersections, out now, Evan is breathing new life into the music industry and hopes to inspire others with her music along the way.
